Outstanding Achievement Awards
Oh yes… the time has come to announce the winners of our Outstanding Achievement Awards 2007. This year has been incredibly tough for those affected by the credit crunch, so we hope that these awards will offer some reassurance to those that have lost confidence in the industry. Our awards show that beneath the cloudy market turmoil, there remain both thriving businesses and inspiring leaders who view the credit crunch as a hurdle rather than as an end to business.
Congratulations to the winners, may we wish you every success for 2008!
Man of the Year
Steve Walker, Managing Director, Promise Finance
“It is fantastic to win this award although there are lots of people in the mortgage related sector who have been great ambassadors, so I feel lucky to have been singled out on this occasion. I think the award is a reflection of the great work my team at Promise has been doing with regard to secured loans in particular and the development of cutting-edge technology, which enables brokers to deliver this product to their clients in a smart way. I have also done my best to play an active role in the growth and development of the traditional secured loans sector, particularly through the formation of the AFB, as well as promoting secured loans to the mortgage intermediary market."
Woman of the Year
Sally Laker, Managing Director, Mortgage Intelligence
“I'm absolutely delighted to have been voted Woman of the Year. It is great to be recognised and singled out in this way, especially in the mortgage industry which is very male dominated. In fairness credit must go to the superb team that I have at Mortgage Intelligence who have worked tirelessly to develop and build a financially successful network proposition while delivering great service to our members".
Best Packager
CMLS
Tony Salentino, Director of Complete commented,
“We are delighted that Complete has been awarded Best Packager in the Introducer Today 2007 Achievement Awards. Whilst we have invested heavily during the last year in delivering technology based solutions for our intermediaries, our biggest investment has been in our staff. We are very grateful that their hard work and dedication has received this recognition. We aim to keep delivering unrivalled service through 2008 and for many years to come."
Best Overall Lender
BM Solutions
Phil Rickards, Head of Sales at BM Solutions commented,
"We're really pleased to be honoured with this brilliant accolade. Service is fundamental to success in this industry, and we work hard at trying to make brokers' day to day lives a little easier by providing leading products backed up with outstanding service. We're proud that our commitment to brokers has been recognised with this achievement, but they can be assured we won't be resting on our laurels, and will continue responding to their feedback throughout the year ahead."
Best Bridging Loan Provider
Link Lending
John Maclean, Managing Director, Link Lending commented,
“I am delighted that Link Lending has been judged to be the Best Bridging Loan Provider 2007, to add to our recent win of the NACFB's Best Short Term Lender. It is particularly pleasing to see that our unrivalled transparency, daily interest guarantee and market leading service has won us many supporters, including Introduce Today, many thanks on behalf of all the team at Link Lending.”
Best Secured Loan Provider
Magic Loans
Wendy Moore, a Director at Magic Loans commented,
“Obviously we are delighted to receive the award, with thanks to our Magic team, lenders and business partners. We are continually improving our working practices and standards at Magic Loans and as a result of the high quality secured loan packaging we do, hope to keep the award next year too!
Best Overall Service
Halifax
Jack Saxton, Managing Director, Halifax Intermediaries commented,
“Service is a critical factor in growing our relationship with intermediary customers. This is reflected in the investment Halifax Intermediaries makes in technology, product development & training as well as in processing. We are delighted that this has been recognised in the 'Best Overall Service' award we have received from Introducer Today.”

Emma Burke, Senior Marketing Communications Manager, Kensington
“In the past 12 months I have been lucky enough to have had the opportunity to work on two great brands, first BM Solutions and now Kensington, and this award is a reflection of the fantastic teams I have had working with me at both companies.”
PR Agency of the Year
Llewlyn Slade PR
Mark Llewlyn Slade, Managing Director Llewlyn Slade PR commented,
"It is always great to win awards as they are an independent endorsement of the business. As LSPR is a specialist financial services PR consultancy, it is vital for us to ensure that we are providing the best possible service to mortgage sector journalists on behalf of our clients. Given that LSPR also offer a highly successful specialist awards management service to their clients as well as media relations support, it is particularly gratifying to be on the receiving end."
