TSB Intermediary has hired 55 new partners over the past month to meet growing demand from brokers for its mortgages.

Now it aims to accelerate its growth by launching a summer recruitment drive across broker-facing roles.

It is strengthening its support team to boost its presence in the intermediary market.

Staff will be recruited for its telephone support and mortgage processing teams, based at TSB's Keypoint office in Bristol.

TSB said it has set out to be a different kind of intermediary lender with a strong commitment to service and expert-to-expert service.

Roland McCormack, TSB Intermediary Director, said: "TSB Intermediary continues to grow at pace and in response to this demand we are increasing our service teams.

"We have always been very clear that we won't sacrifice service for market share so these new recruits will help ensure we continue to provide the unique expert-to-expert service that is already making us stand out from the crowd."

TSB Intermediary opened its doors for the residential homebuyer market in January, an expanded its residential mortgage range to include remortgages in March.

And in May, TSB Intermediary introduced buy-to-let mortgages.
