Halifax is offering first-time buyers and homemovers a £500 giftcard to spend in Currys and PC World.

The offer is available to all first-time buyers and homemovers who apply for a qualifying mortgage between 12 October and 6 December 2015.

The £500 giftcard can be used across 400 retail and online stores including Currys, PC World and Knowhow.

It will be sent to direct to customers within 30 days of the mortgage completing.

Mortgage director Craig McKinlay said: “Halifax is committed to helping Britain prosper and ensuring we provide competitive products and great service to our customers.”

“We recognise the extra costs included in buying a home or moving house can mount up.

“That is why we’re helping first-time buyers and homemovers with a £500 giftcard when they complete their mortgage with us, giving them the opportunity to spend it on all those home good people typically need for their new home.”
