Kent Reliance makes two key appointments

Steve Seal has been promoted by lender Kent Reliance to Head of Sales with immediate effect, as a direct reward for successfully leading and developing the firm’s national account distribution strategy in 2016.

Seal will oversee the entire Kent Reliance sales team in his new role, “ensuring consistency of service and professionalism for all of its distribution partners throughout the UK.”

Seal has more than twenty years’ experience in the mortgage industry, including time spent at Barclays, Halifax and Chelsea Building Society. He also played a key role in launching Virgin Money’s intermediary proposition.

“I’m delighted that Steve has agreed to take on this challenging new role for 2017,” said Adrian Moloney, Sales Director at OneSavings Bank, which Kent Reliance is a subsidiary of.

“His experience and expertise provided our specialist mortgage partners with invaluable support last year and his new position will further enhance our future commitment to the intermediary channel to ensure our proposition is seamless across our UK network.”

The first task undertaken by Seal in his new role has been to appoint Dominic Sheahan to Senior Business Development Manager for the South West region. Previously at Metro Bank as a Business Development Manager, Sheahan has more than 16 years’ experience within the intermediary mortgage market, with spells at the Bank of Scotland and Commercial First.

Steve Seal said of his new recruit: “Kent Reliance has a fantastic track record of building strong relationships with intermediaries and recruiting the right people who buy into our broker centric philosophy. Dominic’s appointment is key to our 2017 aspiration of being the UK’s leading specialist lender.”
