First Complete panel welcomes Furness Building Society

A tie-up between Furness Building Society and First Complete, which will give First Complete advisers full access to Furness’ wide range of residential and buy-to-let products, has been announced by the pair.

“We have had a longstanding and successful relationship with both Pink network and the TMA mortgage club and we are delighted to be adding First Complete as a new distribution partner,” said Barry Fitzsimmons, Head of Intermediary Distribution at Furness, a top 20 building society which operates in its heartlands of Cumbria and Lancashire.

He added: “We are committed to working together with advisers to ensure they get the right solution for their clients and we think that our flexible approach to underwriting goes a long way helping advisers who may have a complex case they need to talk through.”

Karen Hedges, mortgage manager of First Complete, said of the partnership: “With manual underwriting, Furness are able to offer a level of flexibility that is not available from some of the larger lenders.”

She added that the range of competitive residential and buy-to-let products on offer from Furness will enable First Complete advisers to reach more customers in an evolving market.

“Brokers are now required to advise across a broader range of mortgage-related client needs, and this appointment is part of our ongoing commitment to ensure we cater for all areas of the mortgage market,” she concluded.
