Legal & General Mortgage Club Live returns this autumn

L&G Mortgage Club will be hosting another live conference in London this autumn following the success of last year’s event.

Attendees will have a chance to hear the views and predictions of some of the industry’s leading figures and discuss a number of topical issues. The event will take place in London on 5 October 2017.

Director of L&G Mortgage Club, Jeremy Duncombe, will be hosting the event. “We have once again hand-picked a selection of leading figures within the industry, who will be on hand to discuss a range of topics in an accessible and welcoming environment,” he said.

“This event has been created with advisers in mind to make it as beneficial as possible, allowing important knowledge to be shared and the opportunity for those within the industry to network with others who hold similar roles.”

He added: “With the PRA Buy to Let changes being announced later in September, we also hope to provide advisers with relevant key insights into the proposed changes.”

The event, titled ‘The Future of the Mortgage Market and How it Affects You’, will feature key industry experts and lenders from the mortgage market.

Confirmed speakers so far include: Miguel Sard, Managing Director Mortgage Division, Santander UK; Mike Jones, Managing Director, Intermediaries & Specialist Brand at Lloyds Banking Group; Andrew Montlake, Director at Coreco Group; Pat Bunton, Director of London & Country Mortgages and Rosie Toogood, CEO at Legal & General Modular Homes. More high-profile speakers will soon be confirmed.

“I have always found the L&G event incredibly useful in helping me to understand the issues we face in the market,” Montlake commented. “Being able to listen to prominent figures from lenders and industry peers helps to shape our approach to the future.”

“It’s always good to help generate ideas and learn how others are dealing with the lending environment, as well as increasing my knowledge, which means subsequent discussions with my clients are much more well informed.”

The conference will be running from 9am to 2pm and will include a total of eight sessions. Complimentary breakfast and lunch will be provided, with lender exhibition stands and space for 300 delegates, allowing plenty of time to network with other brokers and lenders. CPD certificates will also be issued.

Jones added: “The Legal and General annual conference is an important event of the year, it provides an opportunity to hear from business leaders and understand in more detail the challenges they face.”

“The conference also gives the opportunity for discussion and debate with an energetic and engaged audience to help shape our industry’s future.”

Sessions will look at the future of different parts of the market, including the future for intermediaries, and will include time for questions and panel debates. Anyone interested in attending this conference can register here.
