Accord appoints new director of intermediary distribution

Accord Mortgages has announced the appointment of Jeremy Duncombe as its director of intermediary distribution.

Having over 20 years’ experience in the financial services industry, as well as holding the position of director of Legal & General Mortgage Club, Duncombe will be the driving force behind the lender’s role in the intermediary market.

Charles Canning, managing director at Accord, expressed his delight at Duncombe’s appointment, commenting that he has a wealth of mortgage experience and will be a great asset to both Accord and the Yorkshire Building Society (YSB) Group.

“Accord has developed significantly over the past few years building a reputation as a formidable lender in the broker market,” he said.

“We have exciting plans to further develop our mortgage propositions and the serve we provide to mortgage brokers in the intermediary market,” Canning continued. “Having Jeremy at the helm puts us in a strong position to deliver them.”

Speaking about the appointment, Duncombe said: “This is a very exciting time to be joining Accord and the YSB Group as it continues to strengthen the support it provides brokers.”

“I’m really looking forward to getting started, ensuring brokers remain at the heart of all future developments,” he added.

David Robinson and Chris Maggs will continue in their positions as national intermediary sales manager and buy to let commercial manager respectively, and will work closely with Duncombe.
