A unique systems integration between Paymentshield and The Key has made it possible for mortgage advisers to gain instant access to a range of general insurance quotes (non-life insurance policies) that aren’t for their clients.
With the integration, all direct users of The Key – Mortgage Brain’s point of sale (POS), customer relationship management (CRM) and compliance system – can now provide their clients with general insurance quotes from Paymentshield as part of their initial mortgage advice and sales process.
The integration is designed to make the sale of general insurance (GI) a seamless part of the digital customer advice process and, following an initial set up and login process, automatically pre-populates client data completed in The Key’s ‘Fact Find’ for faster quote generation.
Emma Green, head of sales at Paymentshield, said the aim is to make GI discussions as easy as possible whenever an adviser speaks to a client about their mortgage.

The integration follows a number of recent developments for Paymentshield, including the launch of its ‘Adviser Hub’ and ‘Quick Quote’ tool which can make it easier for advisers to trade with the firm.
