Mortgage Advice Bureau (MAB) opened the doors to its 30th high street mortgage shop in Dorchester on Thursday 3 October.
The opening of MAB Dorchester – which included a launch event for the local business community – comes despite a major digital focus across the intermediary brand.
It retains a strong high street presence due to the high demand for face-to-face advice in an ever-changing market.
MAB’s strategy continues to focus on making it simple for customers to receive quality advice and transact how and when it suits them.
With extended opening hours, many of the firm’s mortgage shops across the UK give customers the flexibility to meet with specialist mortgage and protection advisers. However, it’s also common to see MAB shops with a telephone advice team based in the bigger stores.
As MAB approaches its 20-year anniversary in 2020, Peter Brodnicki, chief executive officer, says: “This is a reminder of how far the business has grown over the past two decades, and our ongoing commitment to providing a 360-degree experience for our customers, encompassing face-to-face, telephone and digital.”
Simon Morral, the business owner of MAB Dorchester who selected Poundbury as the perfect location for the shop, adds: “With access to first-class technology and training, we saw the opportunities for growth by joining the award-winning MAB.”
He says having a physical high street presence ‘provides a multitude of ways’ that customers can receive mortgage and protection advice.
MAB is currently the only UK intermediary brand that delivers face-to-face advice in every UK postcode area, which is now supported by five regional telephone advice hubs that are seeing strong growth.
“No matter how much technology develops, quality advice will always be at the heart of our everything we do,” Brodnicki adds.
