OneDome – which claims to be “the UK’s fastest-growing property and fintech platform” – has snapped up digital mortgage broker Trussle.
The acquisition of Trussle is from its parent firm, Better.co.uk, and will require final approval by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).
“Trussle has built an excellent team and a reputation for innovation and customer focus,” said Babek Ismayil, chief executive of OneDome.
“We share a clear vision that buying a home should be simpler, faster and less stressful. Trussle’s Smartbuyer proposition closely mirrors our own … HomeBuyer Service. Combining our strengths is a natural next step to transforming this historically outdated sector.”
Founded by former J.P. Morgan executive Ismayil, OneDome says it aims to make buying a home as simple as shopping online and its HomeBuyer Service bundles mortgage advice, conveyancing, and insurance into a package for £999.
If the FCA approves the deal OneDome says it will be processing some 1,100 property transactions each month, facilitate £3.5 billion in annual mortgage lending, and employ over 230 staff.
Kevin Ryan, president of Better, comments:“We’ve thoroughly enjoyed working with OneDome throughout this process and are excited about their vision for the future. We wish the Trussle team every success as they enter this new chapter under OneDome’s leadership.”
