It’s a busy day for new rates starting.
Halifax is increasing selected fixed-rate residential products by up to 13 basis points starting today.
Changes include:
Homemovers and first-time buyers
- Rate increases of up to 13bps on selected fixes and decreases of up to 5bps on selected fixes
Remortgages
- Rate increases of up to 11bps on selected fixed rate products
Product transfers and further advances
- Rate increases of up to 11bps on selected fixes
Meanwhile NatWest is cutting high loan-to-value prices on selected 95% LTV new business purchase loans by 4bps:
- Two-year 95% LTV purchase fixes down by 4bps to 4.93%, with no product fee
- Five-year 95% LTV purchase fixes down by 4bps to 4.85%, with no product fee
Just before the weekend Coventry for intermediaries relaxed lending rules across residential and landlord products.
Changes – which came into effect immediately – include raising loan-to-value limits for self-employed capital raising to 75% from 65%. Maximum loan amounts have been increased to £3m for residential applications and £1.5m for landlord applications.
The lender also says LTVs on residential loans between £600,000 and £750,000 rise to 90% up from 85; loans. between £750,000 and £1m rise to 85% from 80%.
The lender adds that residential loans between £1m and £1.5m rise 80% LTV, up from 75%, while loans between £1.5m and £3m rise 75%, up from 65%.
