Mortgage industry chief are to cycle 456 miles for charities.

The Mortgage 400 will see 10 industry leaders cycle from Edinburgh to London in four days.

They will cover on average 100+ miles per day.

Stops will include Newcastle, York and Cambridge.

Alongside organisers John Doughty from Just Mortgages and LBG’s Andy Dean, riders include:

  • Adam Sheldon, corporate account manager at NatWest Intermediaries;

  • Andy Cooke, national account manager at Clydesdale Bank and Virgin Money;

  • Bryan Kidd, managing director at Smartr365;

  • Jason Hegarty, head of product and innovation at Mortgage Brain;

  • Mark Searle, director at Chartwell Funding;

  • Neil Wyatt, sales and marketing director at Mortgage Brain;

  • Oliver Smith, strategic partnerships manager at Vida Bank.

All money will go to two charities – Magic Moments and Crisis.

Magic Moments provides children with life-limiting illnesses and their families with a once-in-a-lifetime adventure to Disneyland. 

It also provides emotional support and respite for families and funding for appliances, hoists, supplies and toys, working closely with 13 hospices.

Crisis is dedicated to ending homelessness. 

It provides safe shelter and emergency accommodation, warm meals and essentials, specialist support and long-term housing solutions.
