Competitors join forces to host intermediary events

Home insurance providers to the intermediary market, including Paymentshield, LV=GI and Ceta, are launched a series of events that will help guide advisers on the potential of general insurance (GI).

The trio are launching “The GI Collective”, with each company promoting and running an event, with the other providers hosting workshops. The first event will be hosted by LV=GI and take place in Bristol on 25th June and will advise how and when to position GI in the mortgage conversation, as well as helping advisers understand how to position themselves against aggregator sites.

The next event will take place in Manchester on 16 September and will be hosted by Paymentshield. The third is scheduled for Edinburgh in November.

Bringing together collective expertise

Scott McLoughlin, head of intermediaries at Allianz, which owns LV=GI, said: “This unique partnership brings together the collective expertise, insights and resources of the industry’s most trusted names to empower advisers with the knowledge and confidence to have meaningful home insurance conversations with their clients.”

In its latest annual adviser survey, Paymentshield found that 83% of respondents expected to increase GI volumes this year and nearly two in five advisers had seen an increase in customer demand for GI advice.

The events will also cover how to address clients’ questions and concerns, approaches for selling optional extras and how to use the strength of the brands to help advisors build trust and deliver value to clients.

The first event on Thursday 25th of June will be held at Leigh Court in Bristol and is now open for advisers to register. It is designed to support those new to GI through to those wanting to grow the role of GI within their business.
