Name change to take effect from early 2027 as new commitments revealed
Halifax is rebranding to Lloyds, with Halifax Intermediaries becoming Lloyds Intermediaries from early 2027.
The company says that the rebrand includes new commitments to the broker market and a simpler structure that will deliver more for both brokers and customers.
Meanwhile, from next week (7 July), brokers will have access to the Lloyds Premier Current Account mortgage discount on Halifax mortgages, something that has previously only been available on direct Lloyds mortgages.
The branding change will also allow brokers to write product transfer business from existing Lloyds mortgage customers for the first time.
New commitments
Lloyds Intermediaries says it will share more detail next week, but says its new commitments include procurement fees that recognise the complexity behind the work; a named BDM contact; all documents reviewed within 24 hours and instant escalation when it matters; and continued investment in tech, data, insight and tools.
BM Solutions will also eventually rebrand to Lloyds Intermediaries, though a date has not yet been confirmed. The company says the changes will create the UK’s largest intermediary mortgage business and one home for all the group’s broker mortgages.
Esther Dijkstra, managing director, intermediaries, at Lloyds Banking Group, said: “Brokers play a vital role in helping customers navigate some of life’s most important financial decisions, and we are showing how important we see that partnership with this announcement.
“In announcing the change to Lloyds Intermediaries from 2027, we are signalling our long-term commitment to the intermediary market, reinforcing our ambition to provide brokers with greater value, the opportunity to help even more customers through access to the Lloyds back book, a stronger proposition and the confidence of a partner committed to shared success.”
