Acquisition to increase employment opportunities for advisers, say directors

Neath-based Prime Property Finance has acquired Sunderland-based mortgage and protection firm Simpli Financial Solutions and is actively recruiting for additional advisors for both businesses.

It places the two companies under common ownership, although both will continue operating independently, retaining their own Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) authorisation, brand and proposition.

The company’s directors Gareth Morgan and Mark Watts say that the two businesses offer complementary propositions for advisers at different stages of their careers. Prime Property Finance will continue to specialise in property finance, while Simpli Financial Solutions will continue to operate as an independent mortgage and protection business.

More opportunities for advisers

Gareth Morgan, director of Prime Property Finance, said: “This acquisition is another important step in our long-term vision of creating more opportunities for advisers, whatever stage of their career they’re at.

“Prime Property Finance and Simpli Financial Solutions will remain independent businesses, each with its own identity and strengths, but together they enable us to support employed advisers, self-employed advisers and those looking to build their own business and trading style.”

Rob Penman, managing director at Simpli Financial Solutions, said: “This marks an exciting new chapter for Simpli Financial Solutions. We are proud of the adviser team and staff that we have built over the last 10 years and are very pleased to be joining forces with Gareth and Mark, who share our culture, values and long-term vision. The acquisition is designed to add capability, not to change what works.

The acquisition is subject to FCA approval.
