Company says new features will come faster
Mortgage intermediary platform Acre has changed its name to Score, following its acquisition by fintech company ClearScore, which is accelerating its expansion into the mortgage market.
The acquisition, which took place earlier this year, will enable a faster product roadmap for Score, including new technology such as AI-powered features and greater investment in the CRM platform. The platform will also integrate with ClearScore Home Lending to bring richer insights to mortgage and protection businesses faster.
Score will remain a separate business unit within the ClearScore Group, focused entirely on the intermediary mortgage and protection space. This was the same approach taken when Aro became ClearScore Home Lending.
Since its acquisition by ClearScore, Score says it has continued to see record numbers of monthly mortgage submissions through the platform and has exceeded 2.5x revenue growth.
Financial firepower
Justus Brown, Acre founder and managing director of Score, said: “The backing of the ClearScore Group means we can draw on its financial firepower, AI expertise and huge UK consumer base to accelerate our roadmap. While our users will see no change to the day-to-day in the service they receive, by bringing our brand in line with the wider ClearScore Group reflects our shared mission to simplify the mortgage journey for everyone and power change in consumers’ financial lives.”
Brian Cole, chief financial officer at The ClearScore Group, said: “Score is an exceptional business that brokers across the country use to service hundreds of thousands of people in preparing and selecting their mortgage. It now integrates with ClearScore Home Lending and sits alongside our other B2B platform, D•One, in powering borrowing and home lending for millions of people. As the Group accelerates its expansion into mortgages, we are building a suite of technology platforms powered by user-permissioned data that offer best-in-class service to borrowers, lenders and brokers.”
