Solent Mortgage Services (SMS), the branded mortgage arranger and packager, has launched its latest online initiative to enable intermediaries using any mortgage sourcing platform to provide independent product research through its new SEAS (Solent Enquiry to Application System).

Available through the Porthole, SMS’s award winning online portal, SEAS, provides the functionality to enable every intermediary, regardless of which mortgage platform he uses, to upload client information and engage the SEAS module to provide in-depth product analysis from which to make a reasoned and compliant product recommendation.

SMS is working with all systems providers to give business owners a full audit trail from selecting the best product suited to its customer through to completion. Through SEAS, SMS provides additional support to existing platforms, like Mortgage Brain, Trigold and others, in the pursuit of excellence in giving backup to intermediaries in a complex and changing product market.

Kelvin Cooper, Porthole and Managing Director of SMS said “Using SMS’s SEAS facility gives the intermediary access to world class product research that is going to be compliant and help ensure commitment to the highest standards of customer care. This is available 24/7 and for the first time, at no cost to the user, gives immediate access to powerful tools with which to provide accurate and compliant product analysis.”

Paul Robinson, Chief Executive of SMS commented “SMS has won three awards for its technology, the latest only last week. We are providing probably the most advanced online tools for intermediaries wishing to do business quickly and compliantly with the maximum number of lenders. On top of which, it is completely free to use. SMS is committed to providing the best products, services and technology available in the market. This is the future of mortgage placement, packaging and fulfilment all under one roof.”
