Bridgewater Equity Release, the home reversion specialist, is holding two broker forums next week.

The first is on Tuesday, July 19, at the Bristol Golf and Country Club, Almondsbury, Bristol BS10 7TP.

The second is on Wednesday, July 20, at the Holiday Inn, Maidstone TN15 7RS.

Both forums begin with networking from 10am for a 10.30am start. They conclude at 12.30pm followed by lunch and finish at 1pm. Free parking is available at both venues.

Bridgewater’s broker forums are designed to provide equity release advisers, and those looking at entering the sector, with an opportunity to discuss a wide range of related issues in an informal setting.

Peter Welch, head of sales and distribution at Bridgewater Equity Release, said: “We are certainly in an interesting period for not just the equity release market but also in terms of the provision of retirement advice in general.

“The recent publication of the Dilnot report into the funding of social care has catapulted the whole issue of how individuals fund their retirement into the collective consciousness of the nation. This is therefore a particularly pertinent time for advisers who either specialise in equity release or are looking to enter the sector.

“We would certainly expect to be discussing Dilnot and its recommendations within our forums and we are looking forward to hearing the views of advisers on how they believe a new system will work and how they can best place their services to benefit them and their clients within this new environment.”

Places at the forums are strictly limited and advisers wishing to register or inquire about the events should contact Karen McCulloch on 0191 269 5980 or email kmcculloch@graingerplc.co.uk
