Intermediary mortgage distributor Solent Mortgage Services (SMS) has added Kent Reliance to its mortgage lender panel.

This is the latest stage in its bid to provide the most comprehensive range of lending choices for its introducers. Earlier this month, SMS added Aldermore Bank to its panel.

SMS, based in Gosport, Hampshire, has become a resource for intermediaries and networks looking for expert help in placing cases which do not fit high street lenders’ rigid credit scored underwriting.

Ian Balfour, chief executive at SMS, said: “Kent Reliance has built a reputation as a lender which supports the intermediary community and I am delighted it ha agreed to become part of the SMS lender panel.

"The core product range is comprehensive and the company brings an empathetic style to its underwriting, which provides clients with the opportunity to have their cases underwritten based on a full appreciation of the whole case. I am sure our introducers will appreciate the addition of Kent Reliance to our panel and its growing contribution to the intermediary market.”

John Eastgate, director of sales and marketing at Kent Reliance, added: “SMS has been a name synonymous with supporting the broking sector for many years.

"We are firmly committed to the intermediary market and by working closely with our partners we are able to offer lending propositions that meet the needs of brokers and their clients. We look forward to enjoying a long and successful relationship with SMS.”
