PropTech – new desktop application and hybrid brokering services

Advise Wise has launched a desktop application to allow advisers to access its platform directly from their desktop, with just a single click.

The move follows the recent launch of its customisable Fact Find. Now, the firm is allowing its members to utilise all the features in its Advise Wise Platform and source later-life products across the whole market from their desktop, bypassing the need to use a web browser.

The new desktop app is available to download for free from the Advise Wise website, suitable for all major operating systems.

The app also includes a ‘remember me’ feature that saves the adviser’s credentials after the first login, removing the need to rekey username and password for each access.

Jonathan Thirkill, chief executive officer at Advise Wise, comments: “We’re proud of this further step to simplify the advice process for our members, making it even quicker to login to our platform.”

“Advise Wise is the first sourcing platform on the market with a dedicated desktop application and it’s the only way to access the whole of market product search directly from the desktop.”

He adds: “The focus on supporting advisers is always our number one priority; we believe all the technological innovation can contribute to make the process easier and smoother, leaving advisers to concentrate on what matters the most: provide great advice to reach the best outcome for the client.”

“It’s with this in mind that we work hard to provide our members with the best possible tools to manage their equity release cases.”

GoCompare the latest household name to use new hybrid brokering service

Online mortgage broker Mojo Mortgages has partnered with GoCompare to ‘bring new levels of financial confidence to millions of people’.

Customers of GoCompare can now see how much money they will save on their mortgage by comparing personalised deals with Mojo’s tech, as well as providing signposting through to expert advice with a mortgage adviser.

This has become more crucial as many banks close their branch and call waiting times rise.

Following a 10-minute online process, over 90 lenders and 10,000-plus deals are compared with the most suitable shown to the customer.

No matter the mortgage required, Mojo says customers will ‘always have better visibility of their mortgage options’, and they are able to arrange a call with a CeMAP registered Mojo adviser should they want expert advice.

Richard Hayes, chief executive officer of Mojo Mortgages, comments: “Everyone uses GoCompare to lower their monthly outgoings – it's a given that nobody likes overpaying on insurance and utilities. Yet mortgage repayments dwarf all other expenditure, so it makes absolute sense that we all should have more clarity if we're paying too much for our mortgage.”

“This partnership does that. It provides absolute transparency to the users of GoCompare. And if they do see a deal that can save money, then it's so simple to apply for it with Mojo.”

According to Hayes, mortgages are the final financial service to get the full online comparison treatment. However, advice will remain a key part of the process, making Mojo’s broker/technology proposition a useful tool to offer customers a ‘truly end-to-end mortgage journey.

He adds: “Working with partners has always been a big goal for Mojo in our bid to bring more confidence and choice to mortgages. Traditionally, people haven't been able to compare all their mortgage options, and this limited choice has cost `some of them hundreds of pounds a month.”

“By working with GoCompare – a household name known to save people money – we know more and more people will use our Mojo tech, speak to our advisers and get a better deal – one that'll put some money back in their pockets ahead of what could be a tricky economic future.”
