100 students pass through Trainee Conveyancer Programme
Simplify is hoping to continue attracting new conveyancing talent to the sector with its Trainee Conveyancer Programme, which has now helped more than 100 students.
The company hopes to end the exodus from the sector, which it says has seen around 15% of professionals leave conveyancing since the pandemic.
The structured 12-month training programme aims to bring new entrants into the profession and equip them with the skills needed to progress into qualified roles. The latest students involved in the programme trained at Premier Property Lawyers’ Manchester office. Earlier programmes had been based at Advantage Property Lawyers in Leeds and JS Law in Leicester, all of which are part of Simplify.
Pathways to progression
Graduates of the programme can progress into intermediate conveyancer roles and continue building experience and managing cases. Clear pathways are available to progress into more senior and management positions, the company said.
It said the programme is designed to develop the ‘modern conveyancer’, describing this as someone who combines their legal expertise with excellent customer care and technology expertise.
Simplify has a key focus on digitising conveyancing journeys, winning gold for Best Digital Transformation at the 2025 UK Customer Experience Awards (UKCXA) last year.
David Baxter, head of conveyancing at Simplify, said: “We’re incredibly proud to see another cohort progress into their roles. It’s been great to watch their confidence and capability grow over the past 12 months, and to see the impact they’re already having.
“Programmes like this play an important role in bringing in new talent while ensuring we have the skills needed to support home movers, both now and in the future.”
